Quite pale lemon yellow colour . Still quite constant fine perlage . Some candied peel , light meaty notes , touch of nutty , yeasty richness . On the palate this is quite intense and fresh still , quite full bodied , with some citrus peel , roasted nuts . This is drinking perfectly now , quite rich but enough freshness to balance . 29th Anniversary wine. Rich toast, wet earth, grass, ( wheat) yeasty and leezy. Caramel like nougat.
Delicious. Very fine bubbles*. There’s a hint of lemon but it’s not acidic.

Always a treat, worthy of a special occasion. Quite lemony on cork pop, fleshed out a bit with some time and air. Classic Krug yeastiness and fine mousse. Some pleasing bitterness on the finish. Excellent acid. Delicious. — 7 months ago

Just insane. Nose is so fine. Lemon oil, lemon pith, yeast and toast. Glorious baking spices. Hint of oxidation adds to the allure. Palate is so good. Unreal fine mousse. I mean FINE. Top notch finesse and elegance and wonderful sapidity. My god the pitter patter on the finish of spice, acids and fine textural mousse stuff is phenomenal. Quite young looking lemon , just a hint of gold . very fine bubbles , that dissipate quiet quickly in a white wine glass . Lots of roasted nuts , toasted bread , caramel , and a oyster shell , caramelised lemon peel , saffron , lemongrass and a hint of curry . On the palate this has more of the caramel notes , with saffron , some lemon, mineral a quite tight , slightly astringent acidity and mineral finish. Not overly intense but quite good length , with mineral , oyster shell , toasty , brioche finish . This is fully mature and is at peak in magnum , drink now and over the next 5 -10 years .
