Paul Hobbs Armenian wine. What an interesting treat. Would definitely get again. Drinks less oaky than a typical chard but super interesting. — 5 days ago

Dry Estate Vineyard Riesling 2022

See notes from 2020. 2022 is more fruit-forward with banana and tropical fruits dominating. Hint of petrol. — 2 months ago

Bright gold color. Apple, minerals, stone fruit, and camomile on the nose. Same on the palate. Very rich, deep wine. Drinking well now. — a month ago

Viña Cobos

Bramare Luján de Cuyo Malbec 2022

The best bottle of Argentinian Malbec I have had. Deep and dense layers of black fruit. Velvety and mellow tannins. Fantastic pairing with our steaks. Vina Cobos is a winery to seek out. Paul Hobbs as well. — a month ago

Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Blue and black fruits. A lot of density and terroir. This took about 5 hours decanting and in the glass to fully open up.

Excellent pairing for steak. Robust wine that turned super smooth.

Went head to head with ‘15 Caymus SS and IMO beat it out handily.

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Exceeded expectations given age. Still feels like it’s in prime drinking window, although not sure I’d wait much longer. — 3 months ago
