Such a beautiful, silken, refined Volnay. Just ethereal. As this cuvée always is. — 2 months ago
Lovely wine but could pass for a hearty sauv blanc — 4 months ago
Feel like every time I want to drink Mathiasson its more expensive than the last time. I love what they’re about in Napa so don’t mind supporting them. This is so good. — 5 months ago
Pale lemon in colour. Flinty/struck match notes on the nose - initially citrus and with time more stone fruit. The palate is rich and opulent with grapefruit and white peach sharing the spoils. I have had limited experience with Coddington but this was flat out delicious. The winemaker suggests a short window of 2-4 years (hard to see it being better than it is right now ), whereas pros like JR take it through to 2031. An exceptional new world Chardonnay. — a month ago
Tasted blind nailed Meursault! (2019 village from high quality producer to be exact). 2020 village Roulot Meursault needs time to flesh out and a good decant but it’s a killer village wine to no surprise from the master JMR. — 3 months ago
village level with great tension, a bit high acid — 4 months ago
