Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Beautiful nose of blueberries, black plums, currants, cedar, chocolates, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, dark chocolates, herbs, black tea and black pepper.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, cedar, licorice, chocolates, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth and light vegetables.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious 13 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Saint Julien. Rich and fruit forward. Elegant and nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel.

This Second Growth Bordeaux is starting to show age on the nose, but the palate is still fresh tasting. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Shows good structure with nice tannins. Expressive, and good by itself or with food.

A blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. Aged in (80% new) French Oak barrels for 18 months.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

1986 vintage. 5 bottles tasted for a 1986 vintage BDX dinner @ Mister A's-San Diego. This was up against other 1986's Pichon-Lalande, Beychevelle, Gruaud-Larose, Montrose and Cos. Double decanted and tasted over 5 hours. Respectable sed. Effin pop and pour now. Right right now. The clear winner. So good with balance and enough fruit without having to reach or rationalize. If you're not able to access for 7-10 years, you should be okay. Delicious. 3.14.24. — 2 years ago

2018 vintage. Supposedly from the team that brings you Château Gruaud-Larose from St. Julien. Correspondingly lean with light-medium body. Not flashy in any aspect (which validates the G-L lineage) but exceedingly well made for the resto price of $18. Nice effort. 7.17.24. — 2 years ago
