Blackcurrant and leather notes. Very savoury on the palate - a little disappointing to be honest. See previous Delectable note. I haven’t had a lot of experience with Cornas and was looking forward to this because of its stellar reputation. I have a reasonable collection of Clape Cornas in my cellar which are not ready to drink yet. To be honest this was a bit underwhelming compared to many stellar Shiraz we are lucky enough to have in Australia. Hopefully the Clape, the Rostaing and the Jamet with time in my cellar will be impressive. — a year ago
Wow, very high toned and lifted. sappy and pure. reduced and haunting. red red fruits, silky, velvety and sweet, so sappy and so dense, wow this is insanely seductive. So so juicy. wonderful. big tannins and grip.

Intense and complex on the nose with a wide range of aromas, including fruits (citrus and white fruit), flowers (honeysuckle) and iodine notes, which give off an impression of freshness. This airy and delicate wine of surprising length is characterized by high purity of taste, and a long and non‑saturating finish — 10 months ago

Smooth, cherry, a bit of earth. Nice finish and complexity for a drinkable wine — 3 years ago
This comes out of the bottle fully charged up and swinging for the stands!
There is so much nose I wouldn't have pegged it as straight white Burgundy on nose alone - there's a feast under your nostrils of figs, ultra ripe bosc pears, caramel or maybe jaggery, hay or straw, and candied lemon peel 🍋
The texture is thick, regal and opulent.
A lingering finish that carries those straw, hay and lemon peel notes to the back of your mouth.

Slight funk on the nose with hints of mushrooms. Leathery with slight acid to finish. Not much tannins so really good with light beef dishes (carpaccio and Tartarus, etc…). Good wine to have for dinner parties. — 5 years ago
Mild fizz and big notes of dark fruit. Blackberries, figs, and some light tannins. Definitely a more serious wine than what Meinklang typically churns out. Tasty. — 6 years ago

Popped open on the night of college football championship game. I honestly thought the U would pull it off at the last second and kick the winning extra point as the expired.
Oh well… at least this is enjoyable as always. My reference point for rose Champaign. — 5 months ago
