La Voile. Drank by the glass. Really good CNdP. Lots of flavors, deep red berries, herbs on the midpalate. With or without food. Long finish. Some tannins, but smooth. — 7 months ago
Nice fragrance of grape. Easy to drink and light on taste bud. — 9 months ago
Light bodied without being a pushover. Bright fruit, almost a bit green like unripened strawberries with a constant bitter note throughout - like unsweetened cacao nibs — 2 years ago
Really good dark fruit — 3 years ago
Another solid vintage of this Côtes du Rhône staple. Blend of Grenache (60%) and Syrah (40%). Dark garnet color with ruby highlights. Aromas of ripe black fruit, violets, dried rose petals and roasted meat. Flavors of ripe red and black cherry/raspberry/plum fruit, savory dried herbs and spices and a bit of black licorice. Hint of earth and bramble on the long dry finish. No real noticeable oak aging. Fruit forward and fresh. Velvety tannins and medium-plus body. Exceptional quality and consistency for the price. Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 2 months ago
Different vineyard but still 100% Jacquere, and this one is nicely on the cusp but not yet going down. Bro hints of the putative initial mountain freshness and minerals, together with a lithe expression of age. — 4 months ago
Medium gannet and ruby color. Raspberry, strawberry, cherry, and blackberry fruits mix with a balanced acidity, black tea tannin, and cedar box/earthy terroir. Vibrant yet balanced six years in. — 8 months ago
Fruit and earth and heme and amazing tannins and just a hint of Brett. Quite lovely though. Could certainly have aged longer but I didn’t feel like waiting. — 10 months ago
Excellent vin partagé avec Ian chez nous (bouteille qu'il avait gagné) — 3 years ago
Been a few years and this is drinking so well now but no rush at all. Nose is sour cherry and mid season cherry and lovely earthy minerals. Very fragrant and a hint of confection. Palate is sleek and juicy and very refined. It is a bit short but air will lengthen it I think. Juicy and elegant airy lovely purity and balance. Awesome depth and grainy, elegant tannins. Needs air to go higher. Let’s see what happens.
9.4 to 9.5 overnight. Juicy and elegant and so finessed. — 4 years ago
Very tasty for a day drinker. Drank at broken bow. — 3 months ago
Really nice rose. Strawberry, bazooka Joe bubble gum, lime, light to medium bodied, with great acid. I’m a fan. — 4 months ago
Disgorged 2022. Tons of bruised green apple. Little brioche. Ends a little shorter than expected for the price point. — 6 months ago
Really really good. — 7 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The “Grand Cellier” pours a pale straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of bright, tart fruit: green apple, star fruit, Meyer lemon, a whiff of brioche, and chalky, limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I freaking love Vilmart. Drink now through 2038. Disgorged December of 2018. — 22 days ago
