i bought this on release. Opened a bottle 2 years later and it was so tight it didnt for the entire dinner. Opened yesterday and to my surprise the tannins had completely softened and a wonder wine swirling in my glass. There wasn't much of a nose, but this soft well-balanced Tuscan gem red fruit and a hint of anise. Longer finish. — 19 days ago

i always enjoy this. Rich yet elegant, this delivered on all notes. Soft berries on the nose, rich black fruit and mellow tannins give way the burnt sandal leather from the Tuscan sun. Yummy — 3 months ago

The oak has integrated from my previous note in February 2017 where the influence of oak Barriques was overly present. Sangiovese is not enhanced by too much oak in my opinion and is best matured in large Botti like I said in my previous note like Biondi Santi. Red cherry and earth notes finishing with powdery tannins. Coming together. — 2 months ago

Really no need to write this up because it's one of my go-to's. I guess i haven't posted 2019 on Delectable, but it's always consistent and it's just right with my skirt steak and chimichurri. Yeah, it's 50 degrees out so I fired up the grill! Happy Valentine's, my loves!

A Tuscan red blend that we have had in the United States as well as in Italy. In the US you can buy this for $16 a bottle at Total Wine and see it in a restaurant for $52 a bottle. I was in the north end of Boston and paid $80 for the same bottle! If you are in Florence this bottle costs about €15.30 in the supermarket and will run you about €22 to €27 in a restaurant.  — 3 months ago
