Dancer’s Perrieres vines are sandwiched in between the great Roulot and Lafon, and his 2013 Perrieres is a stunner. There is so much depth to this wine and it’s about so much more than just reduction. It’s detailed, complex and layered with yellow fruit and stony minerals with superb density and inner mouth tension. It’s powerful and intense but its weight is so lifted and the freshness of the vintage keeps it impeccably well balanced. There is a line of pulsating acidity and exhilarating energy on the palate that leads to an explosively long finale. — 5 years ago

Initially a musty smell which blew off. Aromatics of sweet ripe nectarine and river gravel. Rich flavours on the palate with that nectarine coming through with the minerality. Oak influence is totally integrated as with the Montelena. This is Boillot’s Les Perrieres from Meursault not Puligny Montrachet Les Perrieres. Spotlessly made. A superb 1er Cru Meursault - a point or 2 higher than the Montelena. Both excellent Chardonnays. — 2 years ago
