Château La Mission Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Cru Classe des Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

2014 vintage. Last tasted 6.2.23 (9.3). Light-medium body. Decanted with very little sed. Tasted after 30 minutes and two hours. Some fresh, green herbs along with tobacco and milk chocolate notes. Unperturbed and completely confident. Slightly better than the last visit and feel like another decade/near-decade will find this at a 9.5. 4.8.26. — a month ago

Hard Point Paso Robles Grenache

Lovely ripe nose - dark fruit, spice. Not dense on the mouth, ample fruit and soft tannin. Depth, a little heat, elegant and with years ahead. Felt like a baby even on day 2 and 3. Decant needed on day 1. — a month ago

La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

Great second wine here. Yes probably too young but with 2 hours in the decanter this was singing. In another couple of years 94. Super wine — 5 months ago

Sheldrake Point

Estate Bottled Finger Lakes Dry Riesling 2023

Aromas of citrus fruit, white flowers, orchard fruit and a slight hint of wet stones. Flavors of lime, green apples/pears, unripe peach and lemon curd. Slight note of slate on the long and very crisp finish. Mouth watering acidity. Bright, energetic and fresh. Solid wine from a consistent quality producer. Thanks for sharing, John P! — a month ago

Too strong and astringent. It gets better with air but not enough. — 4 months ago
