Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Better on Day 1 but still very enjoyable on Day 2. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon pours a deep garnet/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining and loads of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black currants, blackberries, purple flowers, leaf tobacco, sweet minty herbal notes, espresso and stony, inorganic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrating) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes form the nose. The finish is medium+. To my palate, this is textbook Mt. Veeder and the 2014 is currently singing. Drink now through 2034+. — 6 days ago

I’m not normally a Chardonnay drinker but given this was from Pride Mountain and purchased there during a visit I was looking forward to it. It’s a nice Chardonnay that is very drinkable. Notes of grapefruit and canned pears when warm. Some slight apricot taste. Smell was consistent through but taste trended “sweeter” as we drank. Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Pretty nose of black fruits with light wood, flowers and chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, herbs, coffee, light earth, light vegetables, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Merlot from Spring Mountain District. Elegant and nicely balanced. Fruit forward and complex. Spicy and soft, tangy and interesting.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already drinking beautifully. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

I've had a few older vintages of this Merlot and it is very consistent.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 24 months. A small production of less than 9,000 bottles.

Showing black currants, black cherries, light oak, tobacco leaf, herbs, earth, herbs and black pepper.

Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder in Napa Valley. Elegant and nicely balanced, with an Italian feel. Complex and entertaining.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with a big piece of steak.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged for 19 months in (65% new) French Oak barrels.

A blend of 95% Syrah, 3% Grenache and 2% Viognier. Aged in neutral French oak barrels.
