Light red fruit, very soft — 2 months ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim
The nose is still tight with red fruits and light oak notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black currants, black cherries, light oak, tobacco leaf, herbs, earth, herbs and black pepper.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder in Napa Valley. Elegant and nicely balanced, with an Italian feel. Complex and entertaining.
Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with a big piece of steak.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged for 19 months in (65% new) French Oak barrels.
14.9% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

2024 Vintage. Vibrant ruby red in color. Pleasant aromas of fruit and spice on the nose with subtle earthy tones. Cherry, vanilla, and spice on the palate, very soft tannins with a smooth finish. Phenomenal Willamette Pinot for the price. Would enjoy again. — a month ago
Delishly rich. The 2017 at 9 years old is exceptional quality deep cab flavor — 3 months ago
Outstanding wine. Chris Carpenter never disappoints. — 6 months ago
Nice wine. Last had 2 years ago and probably should have let this one go a bit further but so it goes. Decanted for 2 hours which was the right call. Quite a bit of structure with some nice red fruit mixed with soy and earth. Long finish, with medium minus tannins and good acid. Would be one to try in 5-10 years. — 9 months ago
Well-balanced Chardonnay with green apple, pear, and crispness. Very enjoyable mix of fruit flavors and acidity. — 2 years ago
Loved it! Green apple, pear, some leather, well balanced, clean finish. NZ did it again. Definitely would buy again — 4 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Better on Day 1 but still very enjoyable on Day 2. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon pours a deep garnet/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining and loads of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black currants, blackberries, purple flowers, leaf tobacco, sweet minty herbal notes, espresso and stony, inorganic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrating) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes form the nose. The finish is medium+. To my palate, this is textbook Mt. Veeder and the 2014 is currently singing. Drink now through 2034+. — 8 days ago
