Hall, Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
This Mount Veeder Cabernet delivers impressive consistency, with ripe plum and blackberry flavors that open the wine and carry seamlessly through the mid-palate. The concentration and depth are excellent—a direct result of the small grapes produced in Mount Veeder’s challenging terrain.
What stands out is the wine’s wide structure balanced by soft, approachable tannins. It’s substantial without being heavy, offering both immediate pleasure and the framework to age gracefully.
Definitely a special occasion recommend! — 4 months ago
Another gem from Chris Carpenter. Full bodied with concentrated mountain fruit. Silky tannins. Long savory finish. Enjoy now and years to come — 11 days ago
Really a fantastic wine. What a treat! Bought two bottles several years ago. Pulled the first one 4 years ago and it was corked! Was too scared to open the other until tonight - thankfully, this bottle is drinking beautifully. Lots of dark fruit, seamless palate, refreshing acid/menthol note on the finish. 12%! Paired with excellent dry aged strip steak from the good folks at Hudson and Charles. — 22 days ago

Opened just prior to dinner. The 2008 Coteau de Vernon pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of peach cup with the pears and cherry too. There’s white flowers, honey, fresh mint and other herbs too. Wow! On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and oily. This bottle came across young. A benchmark Condrieu. Drink now through 2038. — 8 days ago
