Unmistakably Central Otago to my palate. Red plums and raspberries. 20% of the grapes were whole bunch. Also aged in 27% new oak. I must mention Neil Martin’s famous Quote, “ Whenever there is a tasting designed to challenge the supremacy of Burgundy, it is usually Felton Road that is ushered into the ring”. Very much on allocation these days and can be difficult to source. — 3 months ago
A nice and easy drinking Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Fruit forward and nicely balanced.
Very typical for the region, which is nice to see.
Good right out of the bottle and good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. A good party wine too.
13% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Writing tasting impressions from memory as it has been many months but wow this was a complex, layered yet lean #marlborough #sauvignonblanc. — 4 months ago
Sticking with my rating from two years ago, but I would add tasting lavender and plum. Delicious! — 20 days ago
This just may be my favorite NZ SB — a month ago
Wow. I liked this more than most. Hard alkaline open. Citrus. Dry. Then a little juicy fruit on the way out. — a month ago
Refreshing and crisp, smooth, a little sweet with fruit flavors, nice finish — 15 days ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2015 “Southing” pours a deep ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and bruised strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, red flowers, mushroom and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Drink now through 2035. — a month ago
Home vineyard bottling. Dark and brooding on the nose. Classic Central. Dark fruit, savoury spice, earth. The palate has good weight and concentration of dark slightly sour cherry, and wood spice. Enough acid to provide the structure needed to hold the power together — a month ago
