Orange , onion skin in colour. Orange rind , spices, vanilla, roasted nuts, seaside hints . On the palate intense and with high acidity , lemon and orange rind, caramel hints . Long and complex on the finish , very balanced. I would imagine this is in its drinking window , and will continue to drink well for a further 5-8 years — a year ago
Baby’s 1st parcela unica and gotta say, it delivered! I like the Envinate Lousas wines—they’re always pretty good but usually a bit green and not profundo imo. This one started that way but as it opened, the high acid rolled off to reveal an extremely terroir driven wine, ripping w tension and minerality. The Lousas mencias usually give fancy n rhone vibes to me (i.e. entry level jamet), but Seoane had more of a juicy mineral burg thing going on (think Irancy) than a meaty rock thing. The bride observed wisely that this wine tasted very mineral and oceanic, but more like a seaside cliff than a briny beach. — 2 years ago
Medium deep ruby garnet , with quite narrow garnet rim . This is quite closed at first , with some dusty , mineral , seaside hints . Cassis , cedar , blackberry , charcoal and a touch of toasty oak . On the palate this is again quite four square and serious , dusty blackberry , cassis, cedar , grafite . Quite linear in style , fresh acidity and quite fine but noticable tannin . A lightly saline , grafite tinged medium length finish . This is drinking well at the moment , quite classic in style but with enough polish and mid palate . Will probably continue to show well over the next 5-10 years . — a month ago
Medium ruby garnet , quite wide light garnet rim. Quite round sweet red cherry , spiced strawberry , blackberry , quite fruit driven still . With some tobacco and earthy hints . On the palate this is more red fruited , quite spiced cherry and strawberry with iodine hints and seaside notes . Good fresh acidity and quite rounded ripe tannins . Not particularly dense or intense on the palate , but well balanced and elegant with a reasonable , iron filling tinged finish . This is showing well now , and will continue to do so over the next 5-8 years. From magnum — 10 months ago

2022 vintage. 40% Marsanne. 25% Clairette. 30% Ugni Blanc. 5% Bourboulenc. Medium-bodied. For those times when you don't want bubbles, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc...perfect shellfish and white-fleshed fish pairing along with lunch salads and lighter soups. Or, you could just sip it by the seaside. Tastes entirely appropriate. 10.18.23. — 2 years ago
Quite pale lemon , straw colour . On the nose this shows good freshness with some white peach , lemon pith , white flowers and light seabreeze notes . On the palate this has a creamy texture with white peach , lemon notes , with a saline seaside tinge . Good freshness and decent length . I can imagine this going really well with bouillabaisse. Drinking well and probably continue to so over the next 3-4 years — 9 months ago
Medium ruby garnet , medium terracotta rim . Quite reserved at first with some sweet spice and touch anis and strawberry, red cherry notes . Red plum tea , touch of seaside as well. On the palate this is quite nicely sweet with red fruits , delicate and perfumed . Cherry , strawberry , touch of anis and sweet tannin , balanced acidity and generous finish . This still comes across as quite young and fruit driven . However is giving lots of pleasure now with time in the glass . From now and over the next 10 years — 10 months ago
Medium ruby , hint of garnet , slight narrower rim , more garnet hue . Quite mineral , herbal tinged blackcurrant, seaside scents . Slightly aloof and austere, though this improves with time in the decanter . However on the palate this opens up with classic cedar tinged dark fruits , blackcurrant, grafite , sea shell and saline tinged. Complex , complete , classic , grafite and mineral tinged with pretty long length finish . Still slightly grippy tannins but these are well integrated and quite polished , fresh balanced acidity. This shows very well and is just coming into its prime drinking window, this also held up very well in decanter for the 4 hours we had it open , always retaining great freshness and verve. From now and over the next 10 to 15 years perhaps . — a year ago

Orballo Albariño – Rías Baixas DO, Galicia, Spain 🇪🇸
Overview
A pure expression of Atlantic Albariño from Rías Baixas, showcasing the grape’s natural brightness, saline tension, and coastal freshness. Cool maritime influence keeps the fruit vibrant and the acidity precise, delivering a wine that feels energetic, refreshing, and effortlessly drinkable. This is classic seaside Albariño — clean, expressive, and built for seafood and sunshine.
Aromas & Flavors
Fresh pineapple, mango, and white peach lead the nose, followed by citrus zest, green apple, and subtle floral lift. Light saline notes and crushed stone minerality frame the fruit. The palate stays crisp and dry with a refreshing tropical core and a clean, lightly briny finish that keeps pulling you back for another sip.
Mouthfeel
Light- to medium-bodied with lively acidity and a smooth, polished texture. Bright entry, crisp mid-palate, and a refreshing, mouthwatering finish. Energetic without being sharp, making it extremely easy to drink.
Food Pairings
Perfect with oysters, ceviche, shrimp cocktail, grilled octopus, fish tacos, sushi, and shellfish pastas. Also works beautifully with citrus salads, light tapas, and salty cheeses. A natural match for anything that loves acidity and freshness.
🍷 Personal Pick
This is exactly why Albariño is a warm-weather hero. Crisp, tropical, refreshing, and endlessly food-friendly. One of those bottles that disappears faster than expected, especially when chilled and paired with seafood.
Did You Know?
Rías Baixas vineyards are heavily influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, which gives Albariño its signature salinity, high acidity, and aromatic lift. Many vines are trained on pergolas to improve airflow and protect grapes from humidity, preserving freshness and purity in the fruit. — 17 days ago
