As a Garnachista, I’m embarrassed to say that this, I think, is my first Garnacha from Sierra de Gredos. I may be late to the party but I showed up. Wonderful ripe Grenache fruit, loads of kirsch, a bit of raspberry. Powdered rock dust minerality. It’s a big boy. I broke my “No 15%” rule in buying this. But the alcohol seems balanced. Really nice flavor density. A surprising whack of tannin in the back half of the palate. Lots of savory flavors to augment the fruit. — 10 months ago

Nose: terrific. Fresh crunchy blackberries. Lilacs. As this opens a bit savory. I really like the nose.

Palate: delicious blackberries. Drying tannins which dissipate. Delicious. Almost an elegant glou glou wine. A hint of tomato vine. — 2 years ago
