2019 vintage shared in Nov 2025. Nice fruit balance with astringent tannins and a very long ever-so-slightly spicy linger. Blueberry and green pepper. Very drinkable and held up well to a rib eye with rich gravy; did OK against a spicy rendition of sole, but only because of the spice (and necessity). — 8 months ago
One of the best Malbec’s I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Mendoza!! — 4 years ago

Perfumed nose of violets plus blue and red fruits a note of red liquorice. On the medium weight plus palate , ripe plum and chocolate. Differs from Cabernet with no herbal bay leaf characters and softer tannins in this case but persistent. This is a perfect wine to have with steak, in this case T bone. The Argentinians worked this out ages ago. One of the 1001 wines where it is summed up succinctly - The hallmark of the Catena style is refinement and balance but with a big personality. These wines supercede the Malbecs from Cahors because the vineyards are planted between 780 metres and 1500 metres in the Andes. — 5 years ago

Deep Ruby color with aromas of dark red fruits, spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with licorice, black pepper and toasty oak. Firm tannins, lively acidity, medium finish ending with fruit, oak and savory spice. — 6 months ago
Wonderful nose smells of currents., moderate tannins, medium color, some hints of Amber. — 3 years ago
Another solid vintage of this ripe and juicy red. Aromas of cooked red berries and plums. Full and round pallet that features cassis, blueberry and plum. Touch of minerality and earth on the very long finish. Very smooth tannins. Silky texture. Bright, fruit forward and fresh. More fruit than tertiary flavors in this vintage. Excellent QPR. — 4 years ago
Purple black in colour. Blueberry, Chocolate and Cocoa. Big rich ripe and concentrated with plenty of extract. Black and blue fruits - plum and blueberry on the palate. Full bodied with medium plus intensity. Generous in flavour without being too heavy. Reminiscent of Cheval des Andes in that respect. Points off for an overly heavy bottle. — 6 years ago
Deep ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, plums, oak, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs, eucalyptus, light vegetables and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, chocolates, oak, licorice, light cola, vegetables and peppercorn.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 8 year old Malbec based blend from the house of Cheval Blanc is starting to drink very nicely now. Feels like a Right Bank Bordeaux.
Soft, smooth and elegant. Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex and interesting.
Needed 90 minutes in the decanter to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.

Classic London Dry Gin made in Edinburgh, Scotland. Far from ordinary this gin very balanced and pack with 14 botanicals. Hints of Pine Nuts, Lemongrass and a Lavender finish. Kick back with your favorite G&T mix, act like a Brit, enjoy and have another.....Excellent. — 5 years ago
Cherry, an earthy note, violet, some spices too. The palate is well designed and quite fresh, with a strong acid backbone, a beautiful cherry note all along, a good width and a soft mouthfeel. The mid palate builds up slowly and expands nicely, with a slight layer of grainy tannins. The finsih is long and fruity with a spicy note. This wine is very precise with that sheer acid drive, you can bet it was grown in high altitude from that freshness and that energy. Good one! — 5 years ago
Aromatically the spirit is a little strong, but nice ripe fruit on palate, good balance and depth, shows just a bit of heat into the medium-long finish, sweetness really coming out as wine opens up (5 hour decant), and this one keeps getting better!! — 6 years ago
This dark wine offers a nose of black fruit and cassis, painted with cedar, clove and cinnamon. The very expressive aromas put me in mind of the holidays. The palate is alive with the dark berry notes and oak spice, and a monstrous set of tannins that need some decant time to soften. Don’t worry, the wine will still handle any steak you put in front of it.
