Smooth with a little bite but not too much that it’s overwhelming. — 8 months ago
Wow! It is so rich. Golden color! Almost Sherry like! — 10 months ago
First, if you haven’t had this producers wines at 15-20 years of age, you’re missing some spectacular juice. I bought this at auction for $38-$40 a bottle and because I was unaware of its storage, I was prepared to short decant it. Well…until I pulled the cork, smelled it and saw the color. This nearly 20 year old bottling is still big but with nice integration & evolution. I would say it has another 5-8 years of good life in it.
The palate fruit is ruby, ripe and lush; blackberries, boysenberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, black plum. Mid berry cola, dark chocolate to pudding, mocha powder, wet clay, light, black pepper, Asian spice, dry-ish tobacco, black licorice, some dry herbs-sage dominate, limestone, dry top soil, dry brush, used leather, sandlewood, fresh to slightly withering, dark, purple, red florals set/framed in violets and lavender. The acidity is near perfect. The well balanced, structured, knitted finish is excellent and lingers minutes. Steal for the price. Another excellent gourmet burger wine. One of my favorite reistlings! Smooth and not too sweet, when I open a bottle I tend to drink the whole bottle! — 5 years ago
I'm a fan but Robin is not — 6 years ago
Lush mouth feel. Softness paired with decent acidity. Notes of blueberry mid-palate. Bottle says red fruits, cherry and black raspberry. — 2 months ago
Had the 2021 in February of 2026. Lots of blueberry and vanilla with some spice with this one. Enjoyed this one more with food rather than sipping alone. — 4 months ago
Excellent vintage. Medium garnet color with a dark core and pink rim. Aromas of red cherries, lavender, sweet spices, rose petals and musky earth. Plentiful cherry, raspberry and mulberry fruit on the palate with additional flavors of Asian spices, black tea and cola. Long and lingering finish (just goes on and on) and impeccable balance. Medium-light body but a beautiful mouth coating texture. Fine grained tannins. Just so elegant and complex. I enjoy the entire Purple Hands lineup, but the Shea single vineyard option is consistently outstanding! — 7 months ago
Rich Pinot Noir from Oregon that is Burgundian in style. Masculine Pinot Noir with deep dark fruit and earthy flavors. Excellent. — a year ago

Woody cedar! Bold flavors, — 6 years ago
At 20 years of age, this shows graceful maturity. Aromas of dried plum, fig, cedar, and mocha unfold alongside leather and warm spice and hint of purple floral. The palate is supple and harmonious, with resolved tannins and a gentle acidic lift that keeps the wine poised. Savory hints of olive and earth add complexity. The smooth finish feels settled and complete.
A bottling from Langhorne Creek and one Two Hands no longer produces. Would be fun to taste all the Garden series bottling side by side. — 4 months ago
Even the hands of time come to a halt. Now discontinued, this was a familiar and accessible goto bottle which rarely disappointed. This is one of their last vintages and nearing its peak drinkability… I’m gonna miss seeing this label at restaurant lists, shop shelves and impromptu gatherings 🙃 — 6 months ago
Powerfull well rounded blueberry and black currants. Soft tannins carrying pepper leather and tobacco. Well balanced with acidity that rounds out the red fruit flavors the wine is abundant with. — 8 months ago
Tried several bottles, all great! Founded by Cody and Marque Wright, yes that family of the great Ken Wright Pinot’s very nice small production Pinot, 1700 cases, sourced from 8 vineyards. Ruby, purple hues with aromas of blue and red fruits with an array of spices. On the palate youthful flavors of cherry and fresh strawberry, licorice notes with elegant spice. Fine tannins, long ending with fruit and tangy spice and mineral notes. Great now but a few years will bring out more of the wines complexity. — 5 years ago
