Lovely with a slight chill. Light in body but deep in flavor. — 4 years ago

Bit funky on opening but settles into a nice lime note, palate has tantalizing hint of guava or cantaloupe, good acidity. Short but clean finish. Very quaffable. — 6 years ago
A souvenir brought from the interesting project Bodegas Licinia in Madrid. With some imagination you’ll find some Super Tuscany resemblance with a ripe dark fruit and floral profile with a good energy and well placed portion of oak. Hefty on the alcohol, but well embedded on the palate, with a solid intensity of ripe, yet fresh fruit, and a nice developing persistence on the palate. Good stamina throughout a solid finish.
With Cabernet Sauvignon the intension is to provide structure to the blend and yes it works; 50% Temperanillo 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah and 5% Merlot. Elevage in french oak Barrique oak barriques. — 7 years ago
Beautiful cherry vanilla aroma but a drier, savory, mineral-forward flavor. Reminded me a lot of a cru Beaujolais like Morgon. — 5 months ago
This one has fleshed out nicely over the last 2 years, showing better balance and integration of flavors. Acidity has become more mellow. Nose of lava/asphalt/petrol and grilled lemon. Very mineral, earthy, and austere on the palate as well. Lemony, smoky and salty finish. Almost like a shot of tequila…! 🌵 🍋 🧂

A veeeeery simple but pleasant rose. Lightweight. Strawberries and sunshine. — 4 years ago
Excellent QPR!
Nose: Roses on stems, raspberries, red plums, white pepper, warm dusty earth, smoke.
Palate: Sweet but tart raspberry candies up front, roasted red plums, craisins, smoke, lots of herbs on the mid-palate, bramble, flowers and stems, white pepper, vanilla, chocolate, and a touch of bitterness on the finish.
Sooo good with smoky octopus with bacon smashed potatoes and Romesco sauce:

Had this 2 yrs ago. Mather Teresina, flagship wine of Celler Vinos Piñol, made with grapes grown in high elevation region of Terra Alta. The nearly extinct Morenillo grape is indigenous to the area & makes Mather Teresina a unique wine, a blend of 50% Garnacha, 30% Cariñena & 20% Morenillo. Nice aromas of berries & sweet spice. On the palate cherry flavors with vanilla spice adding pepper notes on fine smooth tannins which opened much quicker. Long ending with sweet fruit tones & bits of earthy floral. — 6 years ago
Ribera tipicity, with blackberries, cranberries, a hint of cream, caramel, French oak. Medium bodied, good acid, well integrated oak. Easy. — 6 months ago
Produced from the "mosto flor" ("free-run juice") of sustainably grown and hand-harvested grapes. Ya means "yes!" in Spain. Straw yellow with good flow of tiny bubbles and light mousse. Stone fruit aromas with a vanilla nut fragrance. On the palate peach and citrus flavors, good balance, plenty of acidity and lingers nicely. — 10 months ago
Ok, whoa eucalyptus is the strangest note in a beautiful way. A freshly struck match. Radish? Root veggie?? But so well balanced. One of my new fav reds. Had with fogo de chao and it couldn’t have been a better choice. — 5 years ago
Berries on the nose, slight tannins on the front, a little acidity on the finish. With some time, will be amazing. — 7 years ago
Excellent!! Crisp clean stone citrus fruit with salt and minerals. A definite warm weather porch pounder. — 7 years ago

Northern Wisconsin with the family this week. I brought wine from the USA, Africa, Italy, and this one from Spain. Very nice! I guess i wrote this up a few months ago, so no need to repeat myself. Excellent value wine.
