Excellent example of a northern #Rhône #syrah deep ruby color still youthful, six years after vintage. on the nose, leather black pepper, plum, tart, red cherry, some dark chocolate notes, toast. on the pallet full-bodied, medium+ acidity for fine slightly green tannins finishes long, but I find it a little bit grippy and coarse and bitter, so if it were a little bit smoother and juicy. Solid Cru Beaujolais. Medium garnet color. Bright aromas of ripe red and black cherries, earth and violets. Expressive flavors of red and black cherry/raspberry/currant fruit, tobacco and a pleasant hint of baking spices. A bit of black pepper and the presence of stemmy carbonic maceration on the very long and tingly finish. Quite juicy and crisp.
