Initially, this was a bit closed with fruit notes dominating, but after an hour long decant it opened up nicely. The nose has mostly cassis and herbal flavors, and on the palate, cassis, tobacco, bay leaf, dried sage, dark chocolate, and graphite notes come through nicely. Has good acidity, and tannins are well integrated. Super tasty and paired well with rosemary and thyme roasted rack of lamb with potatoes and eggplant. — 14 days ago

Medium deep ruby with a quite thin bright ruby violet rim. This is quite closed on the nose at first with bright cherry fruit , red plum , blueberry, blackberry , some floral hints and underneath a touch of slate . On the palate this is quite focused and lean , lovely red fruits , hint of spiciness and red cherry floral hints . Really fresh , vital acidity , with fine but very noticeable tannins and a very long focused red cherry , mineral tinged finish . Needs time , but is very promising, great freshness. Probably not at the level of the 2021 , tasted previously , but it’s close . Leave another 5-10 years and will show well a further 10. — 14 hours ago

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Pretty nose of red and black fruits with light wood, wild flowers, spices, coffee, herbs, earth and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, light forest floor and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy pomegranates.

This 9 year old red blend from Lebanon is still young and needs 10 years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years. Showing good potential to become a 93+ point wine.

Needed 3 hours to open up properly, fresh and easy drinking.

Good by itself or with food.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault. Aged in concrete vats and French oak barrels.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Just peaking in my estimation. May sill have a couple or three years before its decline starts. Opened and sat in the bottle for 2 hours. Poured a glass which sat another hour. Bold forward fruits. Blackberry, Plums, Black Cherry, hints of spice herbs that quickly fade into a smooth, luxurious taste of velvety tannins. Backend is just as the Front, Luxurious Bold Fruit but just a touch of old earth, lite tobacco and chocolate/cherry. — 13 days ago

I opened this 2015 after the 16’ Branaire-Ducru.

The fruits are riper and slightly jammy with plum, blueberry, and blackcurrant, but it’s the savory expression that really sets it apart.
