One of the best CDLR’s in the biz showing beautifully tonight with an ultra complex and seductive bouquet of candied red cherries, rose petals, coffee beans and game meat. The palate is luxuriously silky with obvious grand cru and old vine concentration, particularly for the vintage, and there is beautiful purity and elegance to balance its power. Its spice and mineral inflicted finale just keeps on going. 07 Burgundy are in such a great spot. — 4 months ago
Strong fruit forward nose of lemon, orange and strawberry, with hints of fresh celery and salt air. Color is a peach or blush, the medium palate is rich fruit, a little baking yeast silkiness, with a long, candied fruit finish. The perfect way to cheers bringing my new daughter into the world! — 10 months ago
Well balanced crowd pleaser. Notes of croissant/brioche. Paired well with salmon in a lemon olive oil sauce. — 2 days ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%), Merlot (19%), Cabernet Franc (6%) and Petite Verdot (3%). Dark garnet/ruby/purple/black color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, rose petals, cigar box and smoked meat. Flavors of blackberry, black currant and black plum fruit with additional hints of tobacco, black olives and cloves. Long lasting velvety finish. Full bodied with noticeable (but well integrated) tannins. Beautiful freshness. Rich and powerful but so well balanced. Consistently outstanding vintage after vintage. Could continue to age for decades! — 6 months ago
Nose has plum peel, ripe crushed raspberry, dehydrated strawberry, cold hotel biscuits, fresh almonds and distant dried grapefruit rind.
Palate has dried raspberries, ripe red currant, dried tangerine, dried strawberries and moist chalk with medium finish.
We have all sorts of odd bottles in our cellar, many single, experimental iterations such a this. Not in the least disappointed for this showing today.
Disgorged: Sep 2012; 60% Chardonnay / 40% Pinot Noir — 4 years ago
The nose is profoundly layered and regal: cedar chest, humid tobacco, graphite, and dried rose petals, unfolding slowly into red currant, black tea, sandalwood, and the faintest whisper of truffle and old parchment. It’s not about intensity; it’s about dimension…
On the palate, it is seamless and sovereign. Red and black fruits are fully resolved into essence rather than flavor; currant, cherry skin, a touch of plum; all wrapped in polished leather and earth. The tannins have dissolved into silk, the acidity remains statuesque, and the finish lingers with a calm, noble persistence that feels endless rather than long.
Chateau Margaux at its absolute summit: complete, composed, and eternal; power expressed through grace, and grace sharpened by the patience of time. Do drink now. — 3 months ago
Copper in color with a golden hue.
Fruity nose with light yeast, light raspberries, apples, light metals and caramel notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and tiny bubbles.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate with over ripened apples, light red fruits, limes, citrus, spices, light yeast, sea salt, light earth and herbs.
Long finish with limes.
This is a delicious Rosé Champagne. Elegant, and a tad over it's peak. Complex and interesting.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 47% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier. Disgorged in 2013.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Very young. Still somewhat unstructured and tannins that need to mellow. But good potential. — 2 years ago

A small portion of Pinot Noir (which makes up approximately 80% of the blend) still wine is added for color; the balance is Chardonnay. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The Grand Rosé pours a pretty pink color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of raspberry, red apple, a mix of orchard citrus fruit, marzipan, a hint of brioche and lovely minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and round. Very easy to like. Drink now. Disgorged February of 2025. — 13 days ago
