Blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Dark ruby color with a brick colored meniscus. Aromas of graphite, ripe black fruit, violets and mint. Bold blackberry/black currant/black cherry fruit flavors with additional flavors of tobacco, iron, vanilla and sweet baking spices. Well integrated toasted oak on the long and luxurious (slightly bitter) finish. Soft tannins and well integrated acidity. Aged perfectly. — 15 days ago

@Ira Schwartz, all true, he took us to Domaine Chamonard (we were so cold tasting there that our teeth were literally chattering), also Lapalu and Janin in Beaujolais, always in his own cellars, and we’d spend a day at the Marche aux Vins in Ampuis!! In addition to making fabulous wines himself, Eric was so generous with his knowledge and connections, Lenoir in Chinon being another one!!

Really an excellent cab franc. Have had stuff from Thierry Germain before but not this bottling. Perfect with a variety of Syrian dishes at Damas in Montreal. Bright, restrained fruit, excellent acid. Nice finish. — 9 months ago
