White pepper, berries, just right tannins. — 2 months ago
Opened just prior to dinner and decanted. The 2010 “Reflet” pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with heady notes of dark brambles, spiced cured meat, purple flowers, black pepper, Kalamata olive, dried green herbs, granitic earth, and a kiss of warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is squarely in the zone and fantastic stuff. Drink now through 2035+. — 3 months ago
Bright cherry w crushed rock aromas. Red fruit flavors of cherry and pomegranate full flavors wonderful long finish Delicious — 7 days ago
Decided to try one of these guys. Somewhat surprised - more accessible and quite a bit glossier than I was expecting. The 14.5% is well balanced with great acid. Nice deep berry fruit but perhaps doesn’t have as much of those characteristic St. Joseph briny, earthy, olivey, somewhat rustic notes as expected. Nice pairing with shepherd’s pie made from leftovers from Christmas. — 3 months ago

2015 lovingly stored, drank at what feels like its peak in 2026, all the necessary acidity and fruit but deep and mature secondary flavors of Syrah — 8 days ago
