All the strength of a St Emelion merlot (70%) with the smoothness of 30% cab franc. Needs some air, but then nice balance of cherries, a little oak, some vanilla. Drinks well on it's own or paired with meat, maybe a bolognese, pizza, burgers. — 2 months ago
Built up a bit of excitement in selecting this Nuit-Saint George, then opened it up and neaaahhh!
All a bit flat. Nothing terribly wrong and it wasn’t corked, just no major aromas or flavors. Guess you can’t win em all. Or, we’ve just been spoiled with amazing wine and every now and then you pick an average one.
Still a great meal 😊 — 11 days ago

A bit young, but very serious 1st Cru — 8 days ago
This smells dank like the E in an NYC summer when someone has relieved themselves in the corner … but some nicer dark fruit to chase. Bright red cherry but also dried raisins at the same time. Not much in the way of tertiary or herbal/forest flavors. — a month ago
Initially tannic but this is full bodied and lush as it opened up — 2 months ago

One of my favorite wines we get almost nothing of. Pure class in 23. Gorgeous, floral aromas, black cherry, hint of reduction, limestone galore. The palate is young but with extraordinary fruit. Pure. Zero hard edges and really energetic. Acid is on point. Such sweet fruit developing with air. So sappy and dense. Unreal. Wow. Nose now confectionary blackberry and black raspberry. Fun Dip powders. And the stick kind of. Palate gets elegant with such fruit authority. Unbelievably delicious. But has a decade plus and will benefit greatly. — 5 days ago
