[68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6.5% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 2% Pinot Noir, 1.5% Tannat, with splashes of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Barbera.] Fascinating blend in this Cabernet-based wine from the l’Herault area of southern France, according to online ratings, the drinking window for this 36-year-old wine expires this year, but it’s super fresh, with great acidity, and well-stored bottles should continue to age gracefully, still shows solid structure and some good tannins, super layered and complex, very long, lingering finish, great juice!! — 3 months ago

Trying the Mas de Daumas Gassac lineup. Aside from their flagship Languedoc red this might be my fav. It’s rose sparkling with incredibly bright strawberry notes and deep acidity. Light lees flavour. The hefty body and full mousse really make it stand out. Wow. — 4 days ago
