Grassy, slight buttered risotto on the nose. Honeyed with a nice dry herbaceous finish. Great on its own or with food. — 2 months ago
25 years younger than the 1989 Chapelot 1er Cru from Raveneau that we also opened, this 1er Cru is also brilliant, currently distinctly showing lemon and mineral/soil aromas and flavors, a touch of maturity but then the bracing acidity reminds me this definitely will evolve further, I was lucky to get a large slug of these 2014s, and they continue to impress, lingering finish, will cellar further!! This just might be an aged white wine I could even convince @Tom Casagrande of drinking at this age?!?!?! 🤔🤷😎 — 13 days ago

So brilliant. Nose of meyer lemon, seashells, that Chablis soul. Palate is round and rich yet taught and linear. Clearly needs air for the finish to fan out. But is sneakily persistent. So good and will get way better with air. Always does here. Wow with some air. This got elite quick. — 2 months ago
Dirty mid Ruby in colour - tawny highlights On the nose red fruits (strawberries) with a touch of barnyard. A light to medium weight palate showing red fruits and sweet spice, but essentially a simple uncomplicated wine despite the fact that it cost $180 AUD. This is where good new World Pinots supercede Burgundies like this. The next night a better showing but no great complexity. — 5 months ago

Young, fresh, still quite primary fruit in this younger 1er Cru Vaillons, some tart lemon acidity, some fine minerality, a floral note as well, medium-long finish, needs a little more aging (2-4 years?) for my palate, but very, very nice!! — 6 days ago
