Worked at Keller and Wittmann.
Nose: intense powdered minerals. Lemon zest. Floral.
Palate: very bright. Mineral. Sweet lemon. Delicious. Long.

The basic Pinot offering from Wittmann. This beats out lots of entry level stuff from France and the US imo, and is far cheaper. I think German Pinot is where the best qpr is for me right now. Raspberry, cherry, violets, forest floor on the nose; more cherry and raspberry on the palate; cranberry also; good balance of acidity, fruit, and tannin; decent length. A balanced wine if not overly complex. — a year ago
Wow. Pop and pour: wanted to see the energy up front, but will follow over a couple of days. On the nose: amazing intensity; electric lemon, ripe peach, stone for days, maybe even a hint of reduction. On the palate: acidity is crackling with intensity. Reminds me up front of 2021 Wittmann, but the elegance reigns supreme with some time open. This is extremely youthful now, but spectacular. — 3 years ago
Why do I take gambles on Chardonnay when wines like this are so reliable and nerves of steel. — 3 years ago
2022. Tart apple, lime, mineral. Creamy mouthfeel. Crisp acidity. Paired great with seared tuna, kimchi rice, and stir-fried sugar snap peas. — 2 years ago
Quite punchy and rough, sweetness is there but very high acidity and quite thin sharp expression of oily notes makes it feel young and energetic — 3 years ago
Great value. German Riesling tipicity, an exuberant nose of white flowers (acacia, jasmin), a hint of honey and gas. Light bodied and Juicy acidity, most pleasant. — 4 years ago
Baked apple, pear, lemon candy, dried apricot, candied citron and hints of oak. Great acidity and balance. — 2 months ago
Impressive to see an entry level Riesling develop into a wine with serious depth and intensity. Zingy citrus nose with clear notes of petroleum and (over)ripe papaya. On the palate again ripe citrus fruits, lime, lemon and maybe some grapefruit. Some bitters. Petrol is there again and accompanies the wine to a mineral streak aligned with the focused Riesling acidity. Finish is pretty long. — 6 months ago
I really dig this wine. Third time tasting it and I don't think I'm done with it.
Chalk, a tiny citrusy touch on the nose but it's not very aromatic. The palate is wide and long, with a good acid drive, some of this chalky mouthfeel, some citrusy notes on the side, with some discreet white peach touches, a bit of grip in the rear before a long, fresh, no let's put it this way, refreshing finish that goes on for a very long while. It's probably the best Pinot blanc I have ever tasted. It's very well made 👌🏻 — 2 years ago
Jul 2025: very nice, delivers, but not as much as in most reviews — 3 years ago
Expressive nose of white flowers, ananas, and lemon. Sweet attack, felt a bit bubbly, high acid, delicious for the price. — 3 years ago
