Lighter than many Zins without the bomb of alcohol in the nose. Blackberry,, raise a, tobacco and leather notes. — 4 months ago
Got ahold of three of these allocated babies that get sold out every year by spring.
Volcanic must, spicy berries on the nose.
Wohooo what a mouth punch. Prickly on the tongue. Bracing acidity balanced with an earthy, breezy cherry and berry medley. An herbaceous, mint-adjacent undercurrent as well.
Both stunning, subtle in its way, and stunning in fruit quality and minerality — 4 months ago

A very good Cab given to me for a Christmas present one year by my brother. Drank on 6/27/26 with Matt — a month ago
Second wine of Chateau Phelan Segur wine, deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and floral herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum with cacao, toasty oak and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice, oak and earthy mineral character. — 5 months ago

Golden delicious apples, citrus, stones, soft tannins and medium plus acidity. Better than it’s been. — 10 months ago
Light gold color. Nose of lemons, oak, and ample coconut. Same on the palate. I would decant for 30 minutes as it’s very restrained. Good balance between acidity and creaminess. Medium finish. If this was dialed up 2-3x’s on flavor and depth it would be awesome. Similar to the Matthiasson Linda Vista Chard. Upgraded 1pt. after 45 mins as the air and temp is helping. — 4 years ago

Always great! Subtle petrol on the nose and palate. More sweetness than acidity for this vintage. Bold flavors and nice depth. — 8 days ago
