Big winner at dinner tonight — 22 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2012 Rosado pours pink/salmon color with medium viscosity and no signs of sediment or particles. On the nose, the wine is developing with Maraschino cherry, dried apricot, coconut, dill, vanilla, and walnut. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Brilliant, soulful stuff. My first experience with the 2012 vintage. I hope there are many more to come. Drink now with patience (maybe even a decant) and through 2037. — 2 months ago
Cork broke, but the juice is good. The nose is shy, but the fruit flavors are vibrant. Tart blackberries, prunes, thyme, earthiness, a bit of tobacco bound in new leather. Tannins medium+, acidity medium+. Enjoy it now or enjoy it in 6-8 years. I really didn't want to do 6-7. I'm enjoying it now with a beautifully cooked sirloin, smashed potatoes, goat cheese, and a simple arugula salad. TGIF!

Simple light red - low on minerality with good structure — 20 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose with black fruits, cedar, tobacco and chocolate notes.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, cedar, vanilla, leather, earth, chocolates, tobacco, coffee, cola, licorice and bitter herbs.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This 12 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is drinking deliciously now. Rich and extracted, and 'In your face' kind of wine.
Fruit forward and good right out of the bottle, but would have been even better after a couple of hours of airtime, but it finished way too quickly.
Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
A great sipping wine that will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot. 924 cases produced.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

We are tasting this 2013 against its 10 year older brother and while they are clearly siblings, this 12 year-old bottle is still quite muted and hasn’t entered the 2nd maturation phase - clear yellow color and earthy stone fruit flavor profile — 17 days ago
A great blend of five grapes. Enjoyed with grilled chicken thighs and oven roasted mushrooms. Combo of berries and a hint of pepper. Smooth and stately finish. — 5 months ago
