I liked this a lot. Clean, crisp. — 4 years ago
2021 vintage. Yet another 1er Cru (or village) Chablis that's rocking don't bother knocking. Light-medium/medium body with citrus spritz elements, minerals and drinkability. Consistent palate push throughout. Actually more affordable than it should be given the quality of the effort. 04.23.25. — 7 days ago

Popped and poured; no formal notes. Consumed over two days with consistent performance both nights. “Les Fôrets” is a lieu dit inside of Montmains. Romain ferments in a combination of 90% cement egg and 10% foudre. This is my kind of 1er Cru Chablis. There is an abundance of energy. Bright, crisp tropical fruits that lean more towards the star fruit side of things. There is lemon citrus and loads of minerals. The oak treatment is extremely light and imparts more to the texture than anything else. The finish is long, refreshing and super satisfying. Really lovely stuff. — 3 years ago

2022 vintage. Delicious, giving, supple, accessible and inexpensive. Under $20 USD resto cost. The Aligoté expression is more of an accent mark vs a lifestyle choice so it is never overwhelming or weird but exactly the opposite. Bobs and weaves and seeks the nuance. Perfect warm weather wine. 04.25.27. — 7 days ago
