Aroma is woody. Long barrel aging. Lots of cocoa and vanilla with those lovely tobacco, pepper, and a kiss of smoke. Then the fruit aromas kick in with plum and currant. Definitely more of a medium body and a stronger acidity with a nice oak tannic finish. Of the more moderate body zins the heavy oak makes this one more favorite. — 5 months ago
Some funk up front. Better on day 2 — 6 days ago
Tested in at Coppola’s restaurant and bought in a wine shop in Mendocino. Had the 2022 vintage in october 2025 paired with pork. Strong and very testy. — 2 months ago
Holy shit. Sheeeit.
Nose: utterly explosive. Lemon peel. Lemon oil. Stony. Blasty white flowers.
Palate: sweet lemon. Mineral. Acidic blast. Delicious.
$30ish.
Blind this is Grand cru. Is has the density. The complexity. Better than most grand crus.
What a winemaker !

This is the most forward and approachable of the new releases, a little tannic and structured, cellar 2-3 more years, drink now with aeration. — 13 days ago
