Founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga Martínez, now run by Manuel, Isabel & Isaac Muga Caño. Deep Ruby, aromas of sweet red and black fruits with pepper spice, unmistakable Muga. 4 grape blend from the Haro district (70% Tempranillo, rest Garnacha, Mazuelo & Graciano), palate shows cherry and currant flavors with espresso, vanilla & toasty oak tones. Soft full tannins, lively acidity on a medium+ finish ending with an earthy mineral character. Nice value! Great vintage! — 2 years ago

Lovely. Enjoyed w my soon to be famous lasagna. Thanks @Isaac Pirolo ;) — 5 years ago
For some reason, this smells like peaches 😅 Actually, dark cherry, candied nuts, and cigar box on the nose. Flavors of apricot, honey, cinnamon candies, and pleasant oak. At 90 proof it's an easy summer sipper.
Listening to Chris Isaac (my neighbor is playing her music loud) Not complaining. — a year ago
This says Reserva.
I didn’t know.
But… that’s some Spanish old vine Tempranillo w French barrique aging(24 mo.) hell, you could have left it in there another 24.
N: Really smells like dirt and tobacco. Black plums way back there. A Big, black nose of reined in funk.
P: Tannin city, charcoal, prunes, really begs for protein, skillfully done.
Next time, 2hrs in a decanter.
Thanks @ Garagiste. — 4 years ago
Nicely made and exuding character. Nose has bright, deep plummy fruit, along with nice, fragrant spice and a wisp of smoke. Mouthfilling, pure fruit on the palate, with a light touch, finish turns savory and shows lots of stony minerality. Nice acids and a bit of soft, chalky tannin comes out at the end. Terrific value. — 5 years ago
Nice for mimosas. — 5 months ago
Bought through isaac for about $22 and drank last episode drops of god last night. . Absolutely delicious. Not overpacked like many cali cabs. Smooth good fruit long length with subtle Smokey oak. Absolutely gorgeous. 1 more bottle wish I bought more. — 2 years ago
Ravfarvet. Fyldig, mineralsk, salt. Fersken og havvand i næsen. Lidt træ i munden. Virkelig interessant udgave af verdejo-druen. — 5 years ago

Intense, complex wine with dark, almost austere fruit with lingering, grippy finish. All in harmony. — a month ago
