Haven't tried a wine from Lebanon in a while. Wonderful aroma of dark red and black fruits. Tobacco. Cedar. Sour plum. Pretty cool 😎.
This 2020 is aging pretty well. Could go longer but drinking well now, a bit unctuous. Thick. Not a super structured or complex palette but it holds it's own with any Mediterranean lamb dish that you would pair it with. Very similar to Napa cabs but with a bit less finesse but with more interesting aromatics. — 6 months ago
2014. Baked apple, baking spice, caramel, subtle toast, tiny bit of an oxidation (nuts), nice acid. — a year ago
Bright lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral notes. On the palate flavors of crisp apple, pear and lemon citrus with notes of white flowers and flinty spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with citrus and noted mineral spice. Nice! — 2 months ago
From a 0.39 ha parcel within the Morgeot 1er cru, this is more Meursault-like in its weight and plushness but still possesses impeccable balance. Ripe orchard fruits and lovely white floral with subtle brioche notes. Broad and polished.

My first Santenay 1er Cru, Clos Faubard borders Chassagne-Montrachet and has higher proportion of limestone than most of clay heavier soils in Santenay.
The resulting wine is more dark fruited underpinned by chalky minerals that’s reminiscent of Cote de Nuits. Raspberry, blackberry, steeped red tea, forest floor, light dried herbs, and hint of purple floral. Medium to full bodied with lively acidity and energetic mid palate. The fruits are a bit chunky on the palate, with fine rustic tannins. — 3 months ago

The oldest of a 4 bottle vertical I bought a few weeks ago. In a perfect window. Made a vodka sauce and wow. Great compliment. Fresh herbs after an hour of being open. Can’t wait to try the other 3 years. — 15 days ago
