Medium garnet color with a slight pink meniscus. Aromas of anise, tar, dried rose petals and black cherry jam. Flavors of dark cherry, blackberry and bramble berry fruit, black licorice, tobacco and mushrooms. Hints of minerals and baking spices on the long finish. Mouth watering acidity. I certainly need more experience with #barbaresco but this was a lovely wine, #nebbiolo 🌹, bright fruit, red floral notes are there but much more subtle tar and earth notes with soft tannins and some lip-smacking quality on the finish. — 5 months ago
