Decent Champagne at Parrot Key Resort, Key West, FL — 3 years ago
2018 vintage. Beautifully made and put together. Already firing now. Medium-bodied. Phenomenal balance of fruit, acidity and bubbles. The entire "Special Club" thing seems like a hard sell to buy a timeshare from a resort you just checked in to. Bad/weird naming but the juice is not to be missed for the $$. — 3 years ago

Not a blend. It’s all Listan Negro from the Canary Islands. Tenerife to be specific, better known as a resort island where Scots and Brits go on holiday to get pissed. Light to medium bodied; peppery with strawberry/ cherry flavors. Light on tannins- more acidic. Pretty easy drinking. Could b a good summer red choice. Apparently this grape grows in Peru under a diff name — 7 years ago
Stags Leap Manor, as it was called in the 1920s, was known as one of the prominent country retreats in the Napa Valley at a time when resort and spa business was big. Straw yellow, with stone fruit and citrus aromas and toasty notes. On the palate melon, pineapple and pear, fresh & crisp with notes of smoky oak, a bit creamy. Lingering finish with wet stone and minerality character, well balanced, stays crisp on ending. Nice! — 8 years ago
Had this at a forgotten bottle in your cellar party and it was like visiting an elegant mountain resort that has not been taken over by a corporation. Old fading elegance — 2 months ago
Alternative to Crème de Menthe, as a digestivo with club soda, had a little bitterness and smoke, from bar at St. Regis Resort, Mardavall, Mallorca — 2 years ago
Citrus! Nose of pure citrus. Palette is citrus, almost like an orange wine but far less intense. Great for Summer where it makes one feel like one is on a tropical resort. Very enjoyable. Thirty minutes of air before consuming is essential, and I would let it warm up closer to room temperature. — 4 years ago

Enjoyed this Cab Sauv/Merlot blend at a Mexican dinner on the resort. We had the opportunity to try the El Cielo winery last year and while in Mexico, seems logical to try the wines of that nation. And . . . This is worth trying. — 7 years ago

Mid 20th century fashionable country resort, popular with Hollywood due to 1892 stone Manor House & historic gardens. Blend of 81% Cab Sauv, 11% Merlot, 4% Malbec, rest other Rhone varieties, aged 20 months in 37% new French oak. Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs & spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry & black currant with vanilla oak and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine tannins long finish ending with fruit, espresso notes and sweet spice! Nice now and will drink well over next decade. — 4 years ago

New Years Eve at The Farm Restaurant, Carneros Resort and Spa. Opened some of my favorite wines: Marcassin Chardonnay, 2012 with oysters and caviar and salmon dish. Structure of wine is layered with apricot-orange, floral blossoms, lemon, cedar and vanilla. The Next of Kyn, 2013 Syrah blend paired nicely with the Wellington beef. Covers the pallet with dark blackberry, licorice and chocolate changing in taste as it opened up. Tannins still present but not over powering. Both wines deserve a 9.5 rating with plenty of age left on them. — 6 years ago

Really a quite nice rosso especially for the price (€45 on a resort restaurant list…) nice balance of fruit and acid. Finish isn’t that long but hits all the right spots. Perfect pizza wine. — 24 days ago
