Advanced brownish color, not especially pretty. Nose has chestnut, wet leaves, roasted cherry skin, wild mint, and that ripe 2015 vulgarity creeping in. Palate is better: juicy, fresh, silky, with good concentration and length. A little heat at 14.5%, but nothing veal ragù couldn’t calm down. Good wine, but very much has 2015-itis, mascara running down its cheek. — 10 days ago

After a 30 minute decant/aeration, the energetic and tightly knit 2015 Palazzo Reserva displays an attractive redberry/garnet appearance. Unfortunately, it is aromatically subdued, with flavors also reflecting that restrained stance.

Overall, it is medium/full, firmly structured with a good balance of tangy acidity and spicy tannins at the long finish. It may come around with more time in the decanter … or more time on the shelf for the additional bottle that I possess.
