L'Ermitage Brut Anderson Valley Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2019

Medium golden color. Right after opening, a honeycrisp apple, citrus, grapefruit and mineral notes on the nose and palate are evident. After some breathing, wine shows plenty of oxidative notes. It has a medium rich, creamy mouthfeel. First vintage to go through malo — 16 days ago

Anderson Valley Brut Rosé Blend

NV. Not too shabby for domestic bubbles and the price. Could do worse. 3.11.26. — 11 days ago

This is a great sparkling wine. It smells almost exactly like apple juice to me and the taste follows suit. I wrote in my notes “overwhelming apple,” but that is not a bad thing. I also got some pear and like toasted notes. Bubbles are lively, makes it fun to drink. Strikes a good balance between fresh and rich. — 17 days ago

Estate Grown Gowan Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Bigger style Pinot. Robust. Mildly stewed fruit and chocolatey but kept just in check. Hardly identifiable as AV Pinot Noir but very pretty nonetheless. Pair with charcoal grilled lamb chops and yayo. — 3 months ago

This wine will be excellent after at least 2 plus years of bottle aging. Go out and get some, I have access if you need it. — 18 days ago

Great as Pinots go but only good for this maker. These half bottles continue to perplex. — a month ago

Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Dark cherry & Prune plum. Comes across as quite big and rich despite just 13.9%. Super juicy and drinkable. Black tea leaves, grippy with a bite, well managed tannins. More of a red meat than a white meat Pinot. Would do well even with a Burger. Not my style (for this it has a little too much fruit) but really well put together! A couple of years in the cellar would make it even better - or drink now. Even better days later! — 2 months ago
