Last evening in Austria. Last evening meal in the restaurant and after a week of tasting mostly GV (and a bit of Riesling and gelber Muskateller) I wanted something different.
There is a minerally quality to that nose with crushed rocks and chalk, tangerine, lime, pear and peach. The palate is round and delicate with peachy and tangerine notes all along, some very soft and delicate mouthfeel, some grip in the rear before a zesty, a tiny bit bitter finish with pear and lime. It's a lesser praised varietal from Austria but every time I taste a different take I find myself liking it. — a year ago

Yellow straw color. Honeysuckle and pineapple on the nose. Slight effervescence with thick texture and a great combo of acid/tart and fruit (apricot, white peach and sharp pineapple). Paired incredibly well with Chinese food. — 9 years ago

Wow, the acidity took me places! The nose is pretty clear and quiet: stones. I agree with Chaad; the palate is bitter with fruit like lemons and riper stuff, and the texture feels creamy. Most of all, I liked how the acidity came, went, and returned: waves, arcs, and angles. — 10 years ago
