Needs a little bit of air. Red fruit that at first seems over extracted and then mellows a bit to reveal some mushroom earthy notes — a year ago

This merlot is amazing, does kinda drink like a Cab...but holy smokes is it smooth! Could also be the time laid down on this one. Beautiful big red fruit on the nose, even nice earthy notes on the nose. That pucker on the finish to remind you it's a merlot, but dang its delicious! — 6 years ago
Nose - Plum, candied orange, peat moss and wood. Mouthfeel - Velvety smooth up front, ending in a subtle pleasant astringency. Main flavors - Stone fruit and earth with a delicate acidic ending with a touch of dryness, like you get when you lick the pit of a nectarine, peach or plum. Overall - a gorgeously complex and lovely Pinot!! 1 million out of 10! — 2 months ago
Lovely dark fruit with soft leather notes and a pleasant terroir, aged beautifully, sadly last bottle! — 8 months ago
Exotic candied cinnamon, licorice, sassafras, granite. Clean. Aging well. — a year ago
Medium to full bodied, lots of berries and just enough oak taste to balance out the fruitiness and berries. — 5 years ago

Good structure, velvet tannins, tar, flowers and sun ripened red fruits — 5 years ago
This dark wine has a fruity nose of blackberry and plum, but there are some more savory notes as well. Black pepper, cigar box and black olive also come through. On the palate, licorice and plums are in the forefront of one of the fruitier flavor profiles I have tasted in Apulian Primitivos. The 16% alcohol is not as overpowering as I imagined it would be. The tannins are fairly forceful and the acidity is refreshing. This wine drinks really well and will pair nicely with a marbled rib eye steak. — 5 years ago

Very traditional nose at first, with wet earth, dirt, mint, spice and wildflowers, with very little obvious fruit. The palate is much richer, with deep dark ripe fruit, excellent freshness and energy, and a beautifully full mid-palate. The tannins build with air but stay ripe, chewy and velvety. Very complete, beautifully balanced and long. Fantastic Barbera, with room to move higher. Also the acidity is just incredible. — 2 days ago
