Dark red with amber hints to the edges, this wine at first is very closed, clearly very young and could use 5-10 more years, which is surprising for this varietal. Nose is very fruity, almost like a candied rasberry preserve, Or strawberry rhubarb, with hints of green stalk or fennel, and maybe some prickly pear fruit! Medium bodied but silky, with nice acidity, a younger tingle and slight tannin, but not mouth coating. Palate is at first dark fruits, underripe plum, blackberry, and then it blooms into a light band-aid flavor, rose, silky red fruits, flavors almost like licorice but not so earthy, and a looong finish that is almost mentholy with blackberry and dry minerals at the end. — 3 months ago
Medium lemon color, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral, honey and mineral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and pear with citrus and floral wrapped in a nutty spice. Medium+ finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, spice and savory citrus character — 3 months ago
2021. Medium body, well balanced. Delicious. — 5 months ago
Beautiful - peaches, white flowers, butter. Slightly reductive nose but most importantly for this vintage, no sign of smoke taint whatsoever! Great buy at $43. — 3 months ago

This may have been the top among the four: Racines Rinconada, Deovlet S&B, and Point Neuf. The Eyrie had an “au naturale” nose to it that made some think it was flawed, but others found it interesting and distinctive without being funky. Nice balance and mouthfeel. — 15 days ago
