Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2017 “Two Blondes Vineyard” pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with cassis, black cherry, cocoa, flowers, herbs, soil, Band Aid, and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A lighter, more elegant expression of this wine than I have been used to in the past. Drink now through 2032. — 3 months ago
Powerfull well rounded blueberry and black currants. Soft tannins carrying pepper leather and tobacco. Well balanced with acidity that rounds out the red fruit flavors the wine is abundant with. — 7 months ago
Lush mouth feel. Softness paired with decent acidity. Notes of blueberry mid-palate. Bottle says red fruits, cherry and black raspberry. — 8 days ago
Smooth with a little bite but not too much that it’s overwhelming. — 6 months ago
Had the 2021 in February of 2026. Lots of blueberry and vanilla with some spice with this one. Enjoyed this one more with food rather than sipping alone. — 3 months ago
Even the hands of time come to a halt. Now discontinued, this was a familiar and accessible goto bottle which rarely disappointed. This is one of their last vintages and nearing its peak drinkability… I’m gonna miss seeing this label at restaurant lists, shop shelves and impromptu gatherings 🙃 — 4 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Ruby red color with red fruit aromas and spicy floral notes, aged for 10 months in 40% new French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and strawberry with tea and earthy tones. Fine smooth tannins, well balanced with acidity, nice mouthfeel, long finish ending with earthy toasty oak character. Very fresh will continue to age! Nice! Pair with with a grilled chop! — a month ago
