As Sortes from Rafael Palacios is 100% Godello from 50-70 years old vines. This is minerally, fresh but also complex with great length. For an 8 year old white wine this is quite spectacular. — 2 months ago
Actually a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (77%), Merlot (12%), Malbec (5%), Cabernet Franc (4%) Petite Verdot (2%). Dark ruby color with some purple highlights. Aroma of ripe black fruit, violets, cedar and burnt caramel. Flavors of black berry/currant/plum fruit, black tea, savory herbs and spices. Lingering finish, plush, well balanced with fine grained tannins. Solid value. Enjoyed at Thyme Rooftop Restaurant with Keith S! — 4 months ago
Really perfumed nose. Orange, honey, lemon, apples, herbs. Good acid. — 4 months ago
The oldest white I’ve had—4 years older than me. Orange hue from aging, no skin contact. Strong notes of honey, oaky. Very nutty. Super unique, fabulous — 7 months ago

Great wine even though it didn’t hold up to my memories of former vintages, maybe because it’s a rare wine in its class that’s both excellent but drinks better young. It shed its primary character and left behind some ginger, vegetal tomato leaf and a silky texture with a long finish, driven by very prominent phenolic bitterness. Drinks like an austere high-quality white Bordeaux without the oak, but I miss the vibrant fruitiness and stronger Italian quality I get in its youth — 8 months ago

Jan 2026: PnP, picks up air and ready in 10 min in the glass. Black fruit, coffee, fine tannins, a brunello on the elegant side. Nice, but oak seems a bit too much so that somewhat dominates over classic brunello palate — 5 years ago

Soft tree fruit aromas, mouthwatering, lemon zesty, salt aftertaste that lingers on the tongue.
My favorite from Albariño class! Perfect pairing with orange shrimp, rice, and summer veggies! — 3 days ago
