Amazingly good. Lots of fruit flavors but not super sweet. Complex. Smooth. Amazing finish. — 5 months ago
So so dense. So tight. So coiled. So elegant. So concentrated. Structured. Checking in tomorrow. Nose is so floral, a day later. Very mineral and so expressive. Palate is enormously complex, chewy and dense. My goodness the density of this wine is just insane. It’s barely budged overnight. Fleshier, yes but also there still is more to come. Day 3 awaits. — a year ago
KruppBros wine 2/4. Dark chocolate, wild berry and vanilla on the palate. Has a great mouthfeel. Sits on the tongue for quite a while before finishing with some mild spice. — 4 years ago
Nice balance of wines, smooth and delicious. Recommended at Del friscos double eagle to go with our tomahawk steak and scallops. Amazing! Will be purchasing again! — 5 years ago
Very nice. A bit funky. — 6 years ago
Insane nose of pear, mineral, spice and pitted fruit. The palate is so elegant, opulent and pure, but the opulence is never vulgar. Completely controlled, with unreal fruit sap, fruit skin, pear intensity, purity and length. Just absurd. — 4 days ago
Interesting blend of Tempranillo (61%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (39%). Beautiful copper/salmon color. Intense aromas of peaches, strawberry and rose petals. Same fruits on the lifted pallet with a bit of lemon zest and minerals. More heft and texture (little bit of tannin) than a Provence-style Rose’. — 4 years ago
When you first open the bottle, you get a rush of flowers run through your nose. And that at the begin sets a tone for a light wine that is full of flavor. — 6 years ago
Krupp Brothers – Cabernet Sauvignon “Veraison” 2009
Stagecoach Vineyard, Napa Valley – USA 🇺🇸
Overview:
From the famed Stagecoach Vineyard, this 2009 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon shows why Krupp Brothers has earned a reputation for power and finesse. At nearly 15 years, it’s still on the ascent, with structure and depth that promise more evolution ahead.
Aromas & Flavors:
Layers of dark cassis, blackberry compote, and black cherry mingle with graphite, cedar, and espresso. Hints of dried violets and cocoa powder emerge with air, weaving a bouquet that is both bold and nuanced.
Mouthfeel:
Full-bodied and dense, yet polished. Firm tannins and vibrant acidity still hold the core tightly, making it feel youthful despite its age. The finish is long, savory, and mineral-driven, echoing dark fruit and spice.
Food Pairings:
A classic match for dry-aged ribeye, braised short ribs, or wild mushroom risotto.
Verdict:
An outstanding wine, multi-layered, complex, and still climbing toward its peak. A bottle to savor now with decanting, but also a treasure for collectors willing to wait.
🍷 Personal Pick Highlight:
This vintage remains one of the standout expressions of Stagecoach Vineyard fruit, alongside 2010, it is a benchmark release. Collectors take note: the 2009 is still gaining complexity and shows remarkable staying power. — 8 months ago

A mineral blizzard. Reductive, fresh and classy, smelling like a scene in nature. The finish blasts the palate with minerals. Utterly insane texture, purity and intensity, with juicy cranberry-like snap beneath the Chardonnay. One of the greatest Chardonnays I’ve tasted. — 4 days ago
