A pale lemon yellow in colour - quite youthful looking for a 12 year old Chardonnay. Aromatics of white peach - mealy and nutty notes, still with a nice acid cut at the finish. Drinking at its peak. Fuller than some Marg River Chardonnays I’ve had lately like Xanadu and Fraser Gallop. I have had richer Art Series Chardonnays but personally I love the balance in this. — 3 days ago

Nicely aromatic & restrained (for Australia) with purity of dark fruit (blackberries, plums, mulberry), nice depth and excellent tannins quality - juicy, polished, finely grained.
Very elegant & with beautiful balance between the ripeness & savoury notes.

If you think all Aussie Chardonnay is big, rich & buttery, try this antidote.
Fresh, crisp with crunchy green apple & green papaya. Some underripe apricots, too.
On the palate this is juicy, fresh with vibrant acidity. Quite light on alc (12.5%) and light on the exotic fruit.
Would not call it Burgundian but it’s highly drinkable and surprisingly nice. — 7 days ago

1996 vintage. Excellent aging cork with an above average fill. Not decanted. PNP and tasted immediately. Tannins fairly bowed with the passage of decades but still showing up for the weekly hang. Light-medium body. Slightly sweet intro/startup that quickly sorts into plum, coffee and chocolate notes. This was a bad, bad tannic boy back in the day but is fully reformed now. 03.19.25. — 2 months ago
