Wowza. Just double-decanted this to accompany osso buco Milanese. Right out of the gate, the nose is singing. Amazing tertiary scents of just-conditioned rich mahogany and deep earthy spice accompany bright mineral/flecked damp earth, and ripe cherry fruit with a berryish overtone. Earthy and linear on the palate. There’s still some fruit, but it’s quite savory and mineral. Very clingy and with bright acids in the long finish. Can’t wait for the braise to be ready to have with this. Superb. — 3 months ago

Along with Gattinara, Bramaterra provides a great alternative to way more expensive nebbiolo wines from Barolo and Barbaresco. — 9 months ago
Nose is very welcoming. Hints of tobacco. Roasted plum. Plum skin.
Palate is sweet plum. Cherry. Delicious. Really sweet fruit. Chocolate. Good acidic balance
Very sexy texture. Really caresses the palate. Clings in a gentle but persistent way. Almost sensual.

Made from 50% Nebbiolo, 40% Croatina, and 10% Vespolina. Light bodied with high acidity. This is a tasty red blend from Alto Piemonte. Cherry and strawberry flavors come through initially on the palate, followed by orange zest, slight hints of cinnamon and bay leaf, and a strong mineral backbone. Tasty, persistent finish. The fruit flavors are exuberant and really dominate initially. Over time the other flavors come out a bit more. This is the 2024 vintage. — 2 months ago
Moores 2024. $25. Still the greatest. — 4 months ago
Wow. This has aged magnificently.
Nose: dense. Brooding but still alive. Complex as this opens a lovely florality. Utterly gorgeous 30 minutes in. More pink rose and pretty as it opens.
Palate: dark cherry. Silky. Clean. Spice.
So long.

Enjoyed this wine, paired with Mie Gorang (Indonesian noodles). This fuller bodied rose has a fair bit of tannins that balanced the intensity of the dish while matching the aromas well. Fairly citrusy and floral. Not much on the nose. Finish is a lingering sweetness on the back of the palate. Very interesting rosè, would love to have again. — 2 years ago
Nose has intense and pure dark cherry fruit along with a lot of crushed stone-laced gravel, along with a note that reminds me of clove-studded pot roast. Focused and clear in the mouth, it’s basically got tons of flavor packed into a weightless package. Great acids. Tannins present and providing nice structure but soft. Long finish. Really nice. — 4 years ago
vintage 2016 | 80% nebbiolo, 15% vespolina, 5% croatina. Ten years old and fully alive and kicking. Brownish colour, tertiairy tones in smell. Very good balance, integrated tannines. I loved the bouquet: stinky in the positive way, spices, stewed fruit. A hint of manure. A Piëmonte nebbiolo that I like. Paired with a lasagne. — 2 months ago
Absolutely delicious. Last had a bit under 4 years ago and the age has served this well, though honestly this could use still more time. Opened for 3 hours and decanted for 1.5, which worked well. Beautiful dark aromatics on the nose. Intensity of fruit on the palate with a long acid driven finish. Tannins are still quite present but with pork chops with a mustardy sauce this paired nicely. Really enjoyed. — 4 months ago
Distinctly Piedmontese but unique. Great acid, soft tannins and approachable. — 10 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 pours a bright garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fabulous notes of wild raspberries, Morello cherry, freshly cut roses, cedar chest, orange zest, alpine herbs and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is really beautiful stuff. The nose alone positively slays. Drink now through 2041. Thanks for the assist @Lyle Fass — a month ago
