Blackcurrant and leather notes. Very savoury on the palate - a little disappointing to be honest. See previous Delectable note. I haven’t had a lot of experience with Cornas and was looking forward to this because of its stellar reputation. I have a reasonable collection of Clape Cornas in my cellar which are not ready to drink yet. To be honest this was a bit underwhelming compared to many stellar Shiraz we are lucky enough to have in Australia. Hopefully the Clape, the Rostaing and the Jamet with time in my cellar will be impressive. — 7 months ago
Most like the 2006, rounded texture due to age and ripened fruits with an edge of oxidation on the good side — a year ago
I have FINALLY tried wine from the rare Humange Rouge grape, grown deep in the Swiss Alps, and it did not disappoint.
Black cherry and Cranberry to start before settling into a herbal and lightly mineral finish. The way it twists from one into the other is beautiful. — 4 months ago

Very nice, not too high in tannin — 10 months ago

Needed 1 hour last night then it got reductive. But today oh man! Nose is glorious red fruits, granite, herbs and flowers. Clay, iron ore. Some blackberry as well. palate is raw and feral with blood, guts and meat. Concentrated and linear. Unreal texture and finish but needs a decade. — 4 months ago
Time to drink up, still very nice, shared with Fung — 9 months ago
Tough Hermitage competition last night and it ranked slightly behind top producers JL Chave and Jaboulet (La Chapelle). Not quite as long and explosive, but who’s to complain — 2 years ago

A big and opulent Grenache based wine. Medium ruby color with a thin pink meniscus. Aromas of ripe red fruit, dusty earth, smoky oak and exotic spices. Flavors of raspberry, red plum and ripe strawberries, red and black licorice, orange zest and a bit of vanilla. Hint of minerality on the long and bright finish. Smooth tannins and vibrant acidity. Full bodied and lively. Well structured and bold. Excellent Côtes du Rhône-Villages. — a day ago
