Light, crisp and clean in its own, some body to it, picked up the spice of a mole mussel bite, with increased salinity and flavor to the finish. — a year ago
2021/5/5-6 with mole chichilo and chicken, katsuo tataki, etc. I adore this wine; this year’s model is especially effusive and giving. Soaring raspberry, strawberry, cherry and flowers - it really is Burgundian, but with that twist of blood orange that says Chianti. Limpid like cool spring water but with a savory mineral depth. People sometimes talk about dangerously drinkable wines, but this is truly that - so delicious and moreish it’s hard to stop. — 5 years ago
Perfectly crushable on an early summer Friday afternoon with Oaxacan chicken mole tacos! Green and yellow apple, bruised pear, cider, orange zest, fresh herbs, and earthy funk :) Off dry with zippy acidity. — 6 years ago

I gotta say that this was probably wine of the night. Probably the pork tenderloin with mole is one of the reasons. A heavier Pinot Noir than most with a smooth velvet roll across the tongue. Nice sharp fruits and a relaxed acidity. Darker color than most other Pinot Noirs as well. The color immediately tells you that this is going to be a different Pinot experience. — 7 years ago
Salmon color. It is a rosé but drinks more like an orange. Great acidity and complexity. Light red fruits. — 9 months ago
.175 ml bottle. Dry Madeira. Pleasant. A native Maderian told me recently that Barbeito is middling so I’m probably biased. — a year ago
