Really incredible and dense. Thought it was excellent and took about 2 hrs to open. So much excellent dirt. — 3 months ago
+1hour decant(decent sediment). A wondrous deep purplish magenta color. On the nose: expressive perfumed notes of blackberry, dark plum, eucalyptus, herbaceous, cigar box, dark chocolate. Taste: silky, opulent, structured teeth staining wine with dark cherry/blackberry, loamy soil, dark chocolate, and long minerally cedar finish. YUM!! 1st vintage and aging nicely...from the famed To Kalon vineyard and made by Andy Erickson. — 16 days ago

Opened and got about a 20-30 min decant. The nose on this was amazing and it literally filled the room upon pouring. The flavors were accessible from the start and delightful. Less dense/heavy than the Abreu but not a lightweight by any means. Again dark fruits and a finish that lasted. Was the WOTN by many being easy going but delightful. The Abreu made you think (and was my WOTN), this just made you happy. — 2 months ago

N: class. Breeding. Smells expensive. Deep but not over the top. Pencil shavings. Peeking florals. More as it opens.
P: silky. Perfect sweet cherry fruit. Hint of bitter. Delicious. But elegant. Long. Juicy.

First time trying this. Pretty good. Honeysuckle stood out on the nose with lemony mint. Flavors of peach and pear with solid acidity. — 3 years ago

2021 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 30 minutes and 1.5 hours. Medium body. Surprisingly agile and without the usual, massive Napa Cab footprint on the palate. Fairly tight core of root beer and dark cherry that wasn't unraveling. This was obviously an infanticide episode but someone insisted. Delightful and tantalizing intro but, (currently) in the end, mostly sizzle and no steak. Maybe things roll diffy in a 15-spot jiffy but doubtful. The sexy intro/ambiance/influencer/wannabe vibe now doesn't translate into relevance a decade or two in. And if this was throwing everything into the pot now? Still comes up short for the price that is being commanded. 'Scuse me while I yell at some clouds. Lately things just don't seem the same. The grapes from this historic/unique vineyard are but pawns in some new, multi-millionaire/billionaire game. Gimmie some 70’s/80’s Mondavi Reserve Cabs instead porfa. Keep the Opus bleep. C’est la vie. 5.14.26. — 4 days ago
