Bollenberg Alsace Riesling 2020

Petrol, diesel aromas and flavors up front, still very youthful, lots of acidity and nice fruit carry this dry Riesling into the long finish, very good!! — a month ago

Domaine Zind Humbrecht

Clos Saint Urbain Rangen de Thann Riesling 1988

Very floral still, also good minerality, not much petrol/diesel here, just layers of complexity in this dry Alsatian Grand Cru Riesling, long, lingering finish, with a nice kick of acidity also, great juice, last bottle, purchased on release!! — 6 months ago

Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

As a 2014, which came with a little bit of worry this was solid. Had cherry notes at first then blossomed into a bold, diesel with fruit wine. Awesome stuff. — 3 years ago

Strong nose of apples, lemons, limes, minerals and light diesel notes.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with a touch of RS to balance it out. Showing citrus, apples, pears, light earth, light diesel, limes, light grapefruits herbs and sea salt.

Tangy finish with limes and herbs.

This 4 year old Riesling from Spring Mountain is starting to drink nicely now, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Spicy and entertaining.

I've had a few vintages of this wine, and so far the 2018 vintage is my favorite one.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Elegant and nicely balanced. Complex and interesting.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. Crisp and better when not too cold.

Zotzenberg Riesling 2018

This is your #riesling if you’re not a fan of the petrol / diesel notes, once this has had a chance to breathe a bit. While I don’t mind those, this is a nice alternative terroir expression - subtle floral and peach notes on nose. @Kurt Schuster is spot on with the crystalline descriptor. The palate is more about the luscious fruit texture backed by sturdy acidity and a touch of RS rather than a lot of complexity. Where else can you get #grandcru #alsaceriesling other than #costco for ~$18? — 3 years ago

Quite strong diesel notes at the beginning but soon crossed over to tropical fruits. Was maybe expecting a bit more.... — 4 years ago
