Medium ruby , slightly lighter rim , touch of terracotta . This is really quite complex , with more development than the others. Slightly more spiced cherry , touch of smoky tea , high toned with rose , truffle and leather . Each time you return to the glass you can find something new . On the palate this is very fresh , some earthy sous bois , red cherry , porcini , elegant and refined , very long length. Spiced cherry , earthy , truffled finish . Polished but noticeable tannins , fresh acidity , perfectly balanced , alcohol completely integrated . Really refined and elegant, enormously complex and thrilling to drink . Just starting to drink quite well with time and will probably continue at this level if not improve over the next 10-15 years — 3 months ago

a fantastic Barolo while in Italy — 3 months ago
Medium ruby , medium wide garnet rim . Quite open and exuberante , lots of sweet red cherry, raspberry and touch of menthol and sweet spices, hickory . Quite sweet profile. On the palate this has nice spice and menthol hints , sweet red cherry fruit , ripe tannins , but with good grip, quite gritty with good length . Balanced acidity , touch of alcohol noticeable . Overall quite sweetly red fruit focussed , pure and expressive. This is showing quite well , though still young and fruit focused. Probably better in 3-5 years and will continue to show well over the next 10 years or so . — 3 months ago

Super smooth and a creamy buttery feel@on the tongue We had lamb and grouper and this bridged the gap wonderfully. — 7 months ago
2020 vintage. Apparently, Brezza Giacomo e Figli is a certified organic producer in Barolo, known for crafting high-quality Barbera d'Alba Superiore. This was a well-structured Barbera I found best decanted for 30 minutes. Black fruit, herbs and white pepper on the nose. Medium body with notes of blackberry, tart cherry. and dried herbs and a play between moderate acidity and tannin with a exceptional medium length finish. This was perfect with pasta puttanesca and tuna and white bean salad. — 7 months ago

The first vintage of these that I ever had. I had several shortly after release and then sent a few off to storage. This is the first I’ve had of those. I also own 2016 and 2019. Those are better vintages, so it will be interesting to see how they differ. 2009 was an approachable vintage and has aged well. Enjoyed over two nights. The first night it was a little hot and you could sense the burn in the nose and palate (more nose though). Second night it came together well and was quite enjoyable and fragrant. First night with Lebanese lamb, fattoush salad, and cheese rolls. Second night with ribeye, snap peas, and brown & wild rice. — an hour ago
